Arvixe requires that you fill out a short online form to sign up for an account. Once that’s done, you’re taken to a payment screen. The whole process takes just under a minute. Within seconds of paying, I had a welcome letter in my email inbox and my account had been activated. Speedy service!

Arvixe offers shared hosting plans with an unlimited amount of space and bandwidth. The amount you pay is determined by how many domains you wish to host on that account and how long you wish your payment term to last. Pay month to month and the personal shared hosting plan costs $7 a month, but should you choose to pay two years in advance, the same plan is only $4/month. Arvixe’s pricing structure definitely has the thrifty consumer in mind. My only beef here is that you don’t learn that the advertised $4/month price is only good if you pay for a two year plan until you get to the checkout.
