Just when you thought domain name prices had dropped to an all-time low, yet another registrar has announced a new promotion that could get you a domain name for under a buck. Read on to find out how to participate.
The $.98 domain from Namecheap.com
Namecheap.com is a California-based ICANN-accredited domain register and web hosting company that manages just over 3 million domain names. The 12 year old company is known for their low prices, and also for interacting with customers on social media websites.
This week, Namecheap announced a new Twitter campaign. From now until July 16th, Twitter users can vie for their chance to claim a 98 cent domain name from Namecheap.com. If 30,000 retweets happen by July 16th, Namecheap promises to have a 24 hour sale during which Twitter retweeters can claim a .com, .net or .org domain name for only $.98.
