FireHost Expert Review- From the Editors

2360 Campbell Creek Blvd #525
Richardson, TX 75082

Specializing in Secure Hosting since 2006, FireHost is headquartered in Texas, where they offer Linux and Windows fully managed secure cloud hosting with enterprise level security.

Sales questions are taken by email, live chat and telephone. I exchanged several emails and had two live chat conversations with staff, all of whom put up a united front and easily answered my questions, directing me toward the cloud solution that would best fit my needs. Perfect!

Online sign-up was smooth and FireHost even helped to migrate a large number of websites from my old server over to FireHost’s network.

FireHost accepts all major credit cards and PayPal. I had no issues with the billing department during my stay and no trouble with cancelling services.

There were no hardware issues to report over the course of one year with FireHost.

Help & Support

FireHost deals with customer support by live chat, telephone and trouble ticket system. Trouble tickets are responded to in as little as five minutes and phone support is also fast, but I found the live chat system to be bulky and slow. I’m not sure if the issue is software related or live chat reps are understaffed, but each time I attempted to contact live chat, I often found myself waiting ten minutes or longer before a support team member could assist me.

My uptime monitor showed that FireHost maintained a 100% uptime rating over a one year period.

FireHost prices vary greatly depending on options chosen. A base Linux server with Enterprise Security and managed support, plus one terabyte of bandwidth, starts at $200/month. Reasonable.
