Sales questions at WiredTree are taken by telephone and email. I spoke with a telephone representative on one afternoon and spent some time exchanging emails with another the following day. Both sales reps were able to easily recommend a VPS that would fit my needs, and answered all of my questions with ease. I was even offered a hosting coupon, which reduced my overall charges. Excellent!

Signing up for a new account with WiredTree must be done online, and it’s a simple two-step process of choosing a plan and then paying for services. WiredTree verifies each order by phone following payment and once that’s done, order and server details are sent by email. I ordered a VPS at noon on a Monday afternoon and my server was ready and waiting for me by 12:30pm.

WiredTree support comes by trouble ticket system, email and telephone. WiredTree excels in the speed department, often answering tickets just ten to fifteen minutes after they’re submitted. I was impressed with this. However, when troubles pop up, such as network downtime, WiredTree support slows to a crawl and when tickets are eventually answered, support techs seem to be tripping over themselves and giving conflicting answers. During a brief period of downtime one month into my stay, I had two different techs give me two different answers as to the cause of the network issue and when services would be restored. Phone support is fast and helpful, but again, reps disappear or are slow to respond when trouble strikes.
